NAD Subcutaneous Injection
Last updated: 10 July 2026
We are one of only a handful of NAD-certified clinics in Japan. NAD subcutaneous injection is an age-care treatment that aims to supplement NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), a coenzyme involved in how cells produce energy, by injection under the skin. Levels of NAD in the body have been reported to fall with age, and this treatment is based on the idea of replenishing them.
About
About this treatment
What NAD is
NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme present in every cell, involved in producing energy and in cellular repair. Levels have been reported to decline with age, and it is an active subject of research in age-care and preventive medicine.
Why by injection
Compared with an IV drip, a subcutaneous injection takes far less time, which makes it easier to keep up alongside everyday life. The dose and the interval are proposed by a doctor after examining you.
Flow
What happens, step by step
Consultation and examination
The doctor checks your physical condition and what you are hoping for, explains the treatment, the cost and the safety data in full, and then decides whether it is suitable for you.
The injection
A doctor or nurse gives the injection under the skin. It is over quickly.
Follow-up
We check for any change in how you feel afterwards and discuss how often to continue.

Registration and hospital partnerships
Under Japan's Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine, our Class 2 protocols are reviewed by a Certified Special Committee for Regenerative Medicine and our Class 3 protocols by a Certified Committee for Regenerative Medicine. The resulting treatment plans are filed with the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare. We also work in partnership with Keio University Hospital and Tokyo Saiseikai Central Hospital, covering pre- and post-treatment testing and, should it ever be needed, transfer of care.

How we manage safety
