Autologous Super Stem Cell Therapy is an advanced regenerative treatment in which stem cells are taken from your own tissue, cultured, and returned to your body — with the aim of restoring damaged tissue and lost function, and of working on ageing at the level of the cell. Because the cells are your own, rejection is expected to be unlikely. Our treatment plan is filed with the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare under Japan's Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine.

What stem cells are
A stem cell can both copy itself and turn into other kinds of cell. Mesenchymal stem cells — found in adipose tissue among other places — can be collected with relatively little burden on the patient, which is why they are so widely studied in regenerative medicine.
Why "autologous" matters
The cells used here are cultured from your own tissue. Because what is returned to you is your own cells — not another person's and not a synthetic material — allergic reaction and rejection are expected to be unlikely. Culturing is carried out at a cell-processing facility that meets the standards set in law.
How many cells we culture
Stem cells are separated from the collected adipose tissue and cultured to roughly 150 to 200 million cells at one of the highest-grade cell-culture facilities in Japan.
Administering more than 250 million cells in a single intravenous infusion is not recommended on safety grounds. We therefore set our own ceiling at around 200 million cells per session, as the maximum at which safety can be assured.

What happens, step by step
Consultation and examination
A doctor examines you and checks your condition and what you are hoping for, explains the treatment, the cost and the safety data in full, and then decides whether it is suitable.
Blood tests and screening
We check for infection and confirm that you are in a fit state for treatment.
Collecting the tissue
Using advanced millimetre-scale instruments, collection takes about fifteen minutes. There is almost no pain.
Culturing the cells
Stem cells are separated from the collected tissue and cultured over several weeks at a dedicated facility.
Administration
The cultured stem cells are returned to your body by intravenous infusion.
Follow-up
We check for any change in how you feel, and a doctor follows your progress.

Certification
Registration and hospital partnerships
Under Japan's Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine, our Class 2 protocols are reviewed by a Certified Special Committee for Regenerative Medicine and our Class 3 protocols by a Certified Committee for Regenerative Medicine. The resulting treatment plans are filed with the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare. We also work in partnership with Keio University Hospital and Tokyo Saiseikai Central Hospital, covering pre- and post-treatment testing and, should it ever be needed, transfer of care.

QIs it finished in a single session?＋
No — collection, culturing and administration require several visits. We recommend four to six administrations a year, and culturing takes several weeks. Your exact schedule is explained at your consultation.
QDo I need to stay overnight?＋
No hospital stay is needed; everything is done on an outpatient basis. You may be asked to avoid strenuous exercise on the day the tissue is collected.
QCan anyone have this treatment?＋
Not always. Infection or your general condition may rule it out. A doctor decides on suitability after examining you.
